As college students, we may not be interested in politics or voting, yet for many of us, ice cream is one of our favorite treats. On April 27, Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream Shop will be giving out free ice cream cones from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. However, there’s a twist: Rock the Vote will be holding a one-day voter registration drive to coincide with the free ice cream.

Last weekend, the Salve Regina community committed itself to fighting cancer. Though turn out for the 3rd Annual Relay for Life was less than expected, those that attended the 24-hour walk-a-thon raised enough money to make a difference for cancer patients and survivors.

It came just when you needed it.

The cell phone bill was a few days overdue and the fridge was empty. You were tired of living on Ramen Noodles and macaroni and cheese. A long needed trip to Stop & Shop was needed to get the essentials for the apartment: milk, bread, cheese and maybe some ice cream if there was enough money left.
