It is that time of year again. The romantic season that people either anticipate or dread. The time where drugstores showcase Valentine’s Day attire and when commercials advertise all the sales in romantic chocolates. It is also the time all the Valentine’s Day haters fire up the media expressing their resentment for the holiday.

Graduation — a word that is bittersweet for most college seniors. It defines how far seniors have come, who they are and where they’re going. For some the future is uncertain, and for others big plans await. Seniors can only hope that the real world is ready for us.

On Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011, the City Council of New York City passed legislation banning smoking in parks, on benches and in Times Square. This ban is in addition to the 15 other indoor venues listed by the New York State Department of Health as non-permitted smoking areas.

Ah, America. I am back. And mind you, it was no easy task. Following my lovely Thanksgiving dinner, things got crazier as the semester drew to an end and the holidays were fast approaching.

According to the Facebook Press Room (2011) there are approximately 500 active users on Facebook who spend over 700 billion minutes per month on the site, and these numbers continue to grow. The number of people using Skype is ever-growing just as rapidly.
