Dr. David Gallo, oceanographer and director of special programs at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution came to speak at the Pell Center on Tuesday, February 28, 2006 to speak about his various expeditions to the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Oceans as well as the Mediterranean Sea.

NEWPORT, R.I. – A fire broke out in the New Breakers Apartments at 9:45 a.m. No one was seriously hurt, but two of the 20 students who live at New Breakers were taken to Newport Hospital for treatment of minor smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
