As I walked down the long alley way off of Thames Street, all I could smell was seafood. My dinner date was talking away at my side, but all I could think of at that moment were my questions.

Is the food going to be good? Is it going to be too pricey since I came at dinner time and not at lunch like I had planned? But most of all, the fear of feeling dorky popped into my mind at least a dozen times.

If anyone has ever walked down the never-ending Thames Street of Newport, they could easily see that this street is, in fact, never-ending. With its millions of clothing stores, souvenir shops, and a countless number of restaurants and pubs, it’s quite possible that I caught a stroke of luck when falling upon a little place called Java Bob’s Caf

Abercrombie & Fitch fashions are a lot like Gap’s this fall: lots of denim, polos and soft cardigans.

But to the college-age shopper, Abercrombie is “so over”; Gap is what’s up.

“Abercrombie lost it when they became a little `too white’ with their advertising.
