Just yesterday Garrett Nickelsen, 19, felt as though he was trying to figure out how to get out of his classes in high school. Now all he has to worry about is playing in front of thousands of fans daily on this summer’s Vans Warped Tour.

Nickelsen, the bassist in The Maine, has had a whirlwind of a year with his band.

After their performance on this year’s Vans Warped Tour stop in Massachusetts, Jet Lag Gemini sat down and spoke about touring and recording.

Jet Lag Gemini is a New Jersey based quartet with members hailing from Russia, Romania and the United States. They made a name for themselves by playing local shows.

Over a hundred bands play the Vans Warped Tour every year, but only a few bands can call Boston home. Therefore I Am, a Boston post-hardcore band, played in front of hundreds of hometown fans at the Massachusetts stop on this year’s Vans Warped Tour.

“People come up to us and are like, ‘oh you’re a band from Boston, oh that’s awesome,’ and they’re so interested because people know that music community here is amazing,” said Alex Correia, lead singer for Therefore I Am, said.

Green Fever and Dancing Fever have hit Salve Regina. The Environmental Club celebrated Earth Week by hosting the Go Green Dance, screening of the film “Flow” and Earth Day celebrations in O’Hare.

Over 100 students attended the four hour dance at Ochre Court.
