As an avid and enthusiastic reader, this book was hard to put down. Before picking this novel seemed to slide nicely into the “chick-lit” genre that would create a seemingly great combination with a little Ben & Jerry’s on the side. That couldn’t be a more false statement.

Despite the weather forecast, over 300 people participated in the 5K Newport Mansion Run in Newport, R.I., on Saturday, Sept. 27.

The event was one of many during Fall Festival weekend. The run started and ended on Webster Street next to Rodgers Recreation Center at Salve Regina University.
