Salve Regina senior wide receiver Antonio Guzzo [Sleepy Hollow, N.Y.] completed a tryout over the weekend with the Manchester Wolves of the arenafootball, a member league of the Arena Football League.

Unlike most New England sports fan, I spent last Wednesday night laying back in a LA-Z boy recliner watching a Boston Celtics game. As I watched the Celtics coast to an easy 109-88 victory over the Atlanta Hawks, I could not help but wonder if anyone else even was watching the game, or if anyone else cared about it.

Go kayaking off the coast of Narragansett. Take a skiing trip to Loon Mountain. Go sailing in Newport harbor. Play some tennis at the International Tennis Hall of Fame, or head to the fairway at the Newport National Golf Club.

Did you know that you can do all of these activities if you are in Rhode Island? Most of them are right in Newport, a city rich with tourism.
