Newport, RI- As one of the top sailing capitals in the world, as well as home to the Volvo Ocean Race’s Puma Sailing team, it’s no wonder that Newport also boasts one of the top 14 college sailing teams in New England.

After one of their most successful seasons this past fall in which they ranked top 10 in the New England conference (NEISA), the 23 men and women of Salve’s sailing team are ready to hit the water and do it all over again this spring.

Football player Henry Blaha once said that “Rugby is a beastly game played by gentlemen; soccer is a gentleman’s game played by beasts; football is a beastly game played by beasts.” If Mr. Blaha is right, then the gentlemen of the Salve Regina University Rugby Football Club will put their beastly skills to the test when they attend Nationals this spring.

Jimmy Eat World performed at the newly opened House of Blues in Boston, Mass. to a sold out show on Feb. 26, 2009. The intimate venue was crowded from the floor to the balcony with anxious fans ready to see this original “emo” band play. This wasn’t any ordinary Jimmy Eat World show.
