Newport, R.I. – By now most of us are familiar with the name Glenna Kohl; a 2005 Salve graduate who passed away in 2008 after a three-year battle with stage III melanoma. Kohl was only 26 years old.

While her story has touched so many lives, far too many college students continue to visit the tanning beds everyday despite its deadly consequence.

The lady Seahawk’s lacrosse team has been in the gym and on the field for the past few months preparing for the upcoming spring season. Signs of their determination are all around, especially in the locker room, where they put a sign saying “It ain’t over till it’s over.

This past weekend celebrated the fifth annual Illuminated Garden held at Ballard Park. Located right off of Ruggles Avenue, this special event is one of many that the Friends of Ballard Park hold each year. Another big event is the annual Halloween Pumpkin Tour.
