Little Shop of Horrors opens this week at the Megley Theater

The play “Little Shop of Horrors” will be presented by the Salve Regina University theater department Wednesday through Sunday, March 31-April 4 at Megley Theater in Mercy Hall, on the corner of LeRoy and Lawrence avenues.

Directed by Tom Gleadow, the performance is based on the book and lyrics by Howard Ashman. The cast includes nine salve students, one alumnus and a visiting student from the University of Rhode Island, Brad Kirton ’05, as Seymour.

Tickets are on sale now for all performances. The first performance on Wednesday, March 31 at 8 p.m. will be “pay what you can.” The April 1 and 2 performances will begin at 8 p.m. On April 3, there will be performances at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. The April 4 show will begin at 3 p.m. Ticket prices for all shows after March 31 are $10 for general admission, $8 for faculty, staff and seniors, and $5 for students.
