“Accumulate items that you think would show off your style, and then it will be easy to make outfits in the morning.”

As such a charming new addition to Salve’s campus, it’s hard to leave Reed Duncan’s eye-catching outfits ignored! She would describe her everyday style as “very girly,” but makes sure she’s able to switch into an edgy ensemble for a special occasion. Most certainly on the feminine side, Reed’s showcased mix of a yellow checkered tube top paired with a frilled white skirt, pearls, vans, and a signature matching mask meets her fashion goal of being as “bright and fun” as possible.

Surprisingly, these great fits don’t come as a challenge to Reed – in fact, she said that picking out an outfit in the morning is “easier than getting a cup of coffee.” Her secret? Reed works at a fashion boutique in her hometown and uses insider knowledge to pick up the latest trends and the perfect pieces she needs to bring her closet together. One bit of advice she offers is to “accumulate items that you think would show off your style, and then it will be easy to make outfits in the morning.”

Something else that Reed advises is a complementary mask. On campus, she and many other students have been adding that final touch of flare and safety to their outfits with a matching or coordinating mask. By embracing this change in society with such grace and style, campus dress transforms into fashion at its finest: adaptable, innovative, and bold!
