Salve students enjoy some cake down at the beach

Birthdays are a big deal. Ask anyone you know. It used to be all about getting the best or most presents, but presently the competition has turned into who can have the best, most expensive, unforgettable party. There is even a whole MTV reality series about the very subject. “My Super Sweet Sixteen” highlights different rich girls (and sometimes boys) ridiculously over the top 16th birthday parties and all the preparation that goes into it.

These kids have everything from celebrity singers, circus performances, fashion shows, changes of 3 or 4 dresses, photo shoots for their invitations, and of course their parents always get them the car of their dreams.

On September 24, Salve celebrated its own birthday, though Salve’s turning slightly older than 16, it still wanted to have a celebration to remember. As far as the guest were concerned Salve turned 60 and fabulous at their soir
