SGA Senator Spotlight: Adriano Cirioli

The Salve Regina Student Government Association nominates Adriano (Andy) Cirioli, a freshman from North Haven Connecticut, as senator of the week. Cirioli is a secondary education and history double major with a minor in political science.

Q: How would you describe yourself in a single adjective?

A: If I had to describe myself in one word I would like to say personable.

Q: What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? 

A: The best piece of advice I have ever received was, “Live your life in such a way, where when you look back you cannot ask yourself what could have been.”

Q: Favorite place to eat on the island?

My favorite place to eat on the island The White Horse Tavern, although I have only been there once the lobster mac and cheese was delicious!

Q: Favorite Salve Memory?

A: My favorite Salve memory as of now is late nights with the guys from my floor playing pool in Miley Lounge.

Q: Best class you have taken at Salve?

A: My favorite class that I have taken so far is my U.S. History to 1877 class with Dr. Leeman. He brings life to history and always relates what we are learning back to Newport or Rhode Island.

Q: Why did you join SGA?

A: I joined SGA because during my junior and senior year I served as the president of my class. I wanted to continue to be the voice of the students and make their time here even more enjoyable.

Q: What do you hope to accomplish in the next year?

A: In this upcoming year I hope to become an RA and this year.

Q: What you are most excited for this year? 

A: I am most excited to meet all new people and enjoy the entire SRU campus!

Q: What you want your fellow Salve students to know about SGA?

A: What I want my fellow Salve students to know about SGA is that we are here for you. We ask that you contact your senators with your concerns so they can be addressed. SGA does so much for Salve it is all truly amazing.
